Child Seat was formed on accident by powerhouse duo, Madeleine Mathews (lead vocals) and Josiah Mazzaschi (guitar), in the Fall of 2021.

Their core live + recording band includes: Allison Loewe on bass + Argel Cota on drums.

Child Seat have been busy since their birth.
• Opened for Fountains of Wayne at The Vic In Chicago
• Opened for The Regrettes for a sold out show presented by Dr. Martens
• New album, Hyperphantasia, placed in the Top 15 on the indie SubModern Radio Chart
• Successful showcases at SXSW in 2023
• Albums feature: Jon Button on bass (The Who), Nancy Kuo on violin (Courtney Love, Linda Perry, H.E.R., Allison Mosshart, Megan Thee Stallion), Jeff Schroeder (Smashing Pumpkins) and Ron Dzbuilba on saxophone (Jon Batiste).
